Grizzlies U9 Team win Surf City Tournament!
Our strong U9 team travelled to Santa Cruz to the Surf City U9 Tournament this past Saturday and won the whole thing. After 6 seeding games we went 6-0 which resulted in a #1 seed. We then beat the 8th seed and 4th seed to get to the championship against the Redwood City Firehawks. Despite a late 3-3 tie, our squad scored 3 unanswered goals in the last 15 minutes to win 6-3. Our opponents were 7 teams from the South Bay including Redwood City, San Jose, Santa Cruz, West Valley and others. RVLC made an impression, especially since some of the teams had not even heard of us. -Scott Diaz
